This evaluation has been adapted following the theme of “L´organisation sociale” (Social Organisation) as per the DP IB Language B curriculum expectations. The evaluation is based on the movie “Le Comte du Monte Cristo” (2002). Students will need to watch the movie in class before you have them do their summative evaluation on it.

This thematic Valentine’s day activity can be used in your French language classroom to get your beginner students to practice their writing skills by writing short sentences about what they like, love, and are grateful for. The second part of this activity focuses on having them write about kind actions that can demonstrate towards the special people in their life (whomever that may be to them (ex. parent(s), sibling(s), friends, etc.) Sentence prompts are provided. It would be helpful to give them a vocabulary sheet or visual aid with a list of adjectives along with this activity (unless they have already learned about adjectives of personality.)
